Project Overview

Van Racking Solutions was commissioned to carry out a bespoke racking installation for a compressed air specialist’s brand-new Maxus Deliver 7. The goal: to turn this spacious van into a clean, efficient and professional mobile workspace tailored to their operational needs.

Customer Requirements

The client needed a fit-out that provided:

• A clear, organised layout for tools and essential equipment
• Flexible storage to accommodate varied compressed air service gear
• A stable and functional workbench area
• A professional, branded finish that aligned with their business image

Racking Configuration

Bulkhead & Workbench Area

A heavy-duty marine grade 24mm resin-coated plywood workbench is installed directly behind the bulkhead, creating a solid surface for on-site tasks. Mounted on the workbench is a Vice with Rotating Plate, allowing engineers to securely grip and work on components such as pipes or hose fittings while on location. This area is supported by a tailored racking unit that integrates with the bulkhead space, offering additional open storage and easy access to frequently used items.

Nearside Fit-Out

The nearside features a bespoke shelving unit comprising three full-length shelves and a top section fitted with removable blue bins, ideal for sorting and accessing smaller components or fittings. The open design ensures clear visibility and quick access to parts, reducing downtime on-site and supporting better organisation.

Offside Storage

The offside racking features a structured drawer system that includes a mix of shallow and deep drawers, ideal for storing tools, spares, or testing instruments used in compressed air work. Above the drawers is an open top shelf for larger items, while the base section is left open to accommodate larger gear or cases. This layout maximises space while keeping equipment secure and within easy reach.

Rear & Side Access

With sliding side door and rear access, the layout maintains a clear central walkway for easy movement throughout the van. The clean design ensures the workspace remains uncluttered, even when fully loaded, and supports safe operation in tight spaces or on active job sites.
