Ford Transit Maintenance Van

Ford Transit racking for a maintenance van. Customer required a comprehensive racking design with designed in space for their own equipment. Auto electrical installation was requested for inside with hazard warning beacons externally. Installation started with a replacement 12mm marine grade resin floor and a full polyethylene lining kit.

Passengers side racking

Passengers side has covered storage over the wheel arch area with three adjacent steel drawers. Above the covered wheel arch storage are four wide steel drawers providing plenty of room for tool storage.  Design features four side access drawers, accessible from the passengers side door for handy access without having to get inside the van. Workbench with a useful overhead open shelf storage facility completes the passengers side.

Drivers side racking

Drivers side enjoys covered wheel arch storage, three service cases and three additional drawers. Four large euro crates is the ideal home for larger parts or consumables and positioned above the drawers and parts cases. The majority of the drivers side has flexible open shelving supplied with removable mats and dividers. Space is allocated for three large oil containers with a covered storage space above. Drivers side includes a case clamp secure system.

Bulkhead has space for customer equipment with an open shelf across the top of the unit. End of racking space is not wasted and has cargo rail and straps on the nearside and long items holder on the offside.

Electrical installation

Electrical installation includes a 2000w Kisae inverter with supporting batteries and low power voltage protection. Extra LED lighting was specified internally to ensure there is plenty of light for working inside the vehicle. Work lights added facing outwards from the rear doors for outdoor after dark work.
