About The Project

Products used

MAN modular van racking for a service van. Build starts with an aluminium chequer plate replacement floor. Apart from being visually appealing its a tough floor that will help protect the vehicle.

Drivers side starting from the bulkhead has two customer supplied air tanks to support the Migi combined compressor generator, designed into the racking build. Floor level is a mixture of open storage with a lift up door to create covered storage over the wheel arch area. Above the area for the air tanks is a lockable locker unit which for this installation houses the electrical equipment. Four steel drawers feature underneath a useful workbench area. The remaining space contains open shelving units for mixed storage, all of which are supplied with removable mats and dividers to enable the van user to create individual partitioned sections. Full length extendible top tray with its hinged end flap is the ideal solution for difficult to store items. End of the racking unit on the drivers side benefits from a paper towel holder.

Passengers side begins with a eight drawer stack positioned to be accessible without having to get into the van, a simple but useful design feature. Covered storage over the wheel arch area mirrors the drivers side. Five levels of open shelving have been added to make the best use of space. Two short sections of rail plus straps fixed to the front of the racking provides a handy way to secure a variety of bulky items to ensure they don’t shift when on the move. Long items holder on the end of the racking this side provides the solution for long handled tools or equipment.
