Mercedes Sprinter racking service van, at Van Racking Solutions we have seen an increasing number of service vans coming through our workshops to support the growing number of commercial vehicles on our roads. Each and everyone is a little different which reflects the needs of our diverse customer base who like to have their racking layout bespoke to the way they work. This build has several unique features, have a read of this case study to see how we helped the customer achieve their vision.

Products we used for the racking installation

A chequer plate aluminium floor was installed, to not only provide a strong working surface but also enhance the appearance of the van. Door panels also benefit from chequer plate panelling.

Drivers side racking

This build features a Migi combined compressor generator so space for the machine and its horizontally mounted external air tank were designed in. Above the Migi are two levels of open shelving with two rows of transparent pull out drawers for small parts. The middle of the van gets covered storage at floor level and a handy five drawer stack of heavy weight bearing steel drawers. Storage of larger parts is taken care of with a good selection of euro crates with an open shelf directly above. The rear end of the racking on the driver side has a steel anti spill tray for oil can or fuel storage, the top of the racking gets a full length top tray with a hinged end flap, ideal for difficult to store items.

Passengers side racking

No service van should be without a workbench so that is exactly what features for this van, underneath the bench are service cases and some additional wide steel drawers, with covered wheel arch storage at floor level. Fast access to essential tools and equipment is taken care of with a set of side access drawers, meaning you don’t always have to open the rear doors to reach what you need.
