Project Ref: TAY002
About the project
Mercedes Sprinter roadside recovery project for a commercial roadside assist customer. Part of the brief was to allow space for the customers own compressor within the design, positioned on the bulkhead. Customers compressor unit occupies the bulkhead area with a wrap around work bench that returns down the drivers side. Free-standing on the bulkhead is a compact unit ideal for consumables or small parts.
Drivers side
Behind the compressor is an eight stack of steel drawers in a variety of depths which are under the L shaped workbench. Additional six wider drawers located next to the main stack with a lift up cover at floor level. Rear of the drivers side has a 1.5 mtr length unit comprising of lift up covered storage over the wheel arch with a row of five large euro crates above. Three levels of flexible open shelving provides storage for a wide variety of tools and equipment. Seven lin bin style units above the open shelving. Drivers side is finished off with another row of open shelving to make the use of height available in the van.
Passengers side
Customer wanted plenty of space left free at the rear but there was still room in this van for a 1.5 mtr run of racking. Floor level is open storage with a retaining strap. Next level up is six more euro crates, two levels of open shelving with another row of lin bins above. As per the drivers side no height is wasted so this side also gets a top level row of open shelves.
