Transit Custom racking for catering business. VRS has completed lots of racking systems for catering customers, they are often similar but rarely the same which does not surprise us really as there are many different aspects to this diverse industry. Each customer has their own set of storage problems which need to be solved to help make the team more efficient. Products we used for the racking installation

Many vans require a replacement floor that is suitable for racking to be secured too, a standard budget ply floor is just not substantial enough. We supply and fit a 12mm marine grade resin coated floor, our floors are anti-slip and easy to keep clean, finished in a marble grey they are not only a strong foundation but also enhance the internal appearance of the van. Replacement floor was the starting point for this racking system.

Drivers side racking products

Open storage at floor level with a retaining plinth means bulky items can be stored safely and don’t slide around the van when on the move. We installed three levels of open shelving, these are the ultimate solution for flexibility, supplied with removable anti-slip mats and aluminium dividers, and users are free to decide how they want to store items. Making full use of the available height we installed a top tray, with its access flap at the rear it makes loading and storing difficult to store long items simple.

Passenger’s side racking products

Catering engineers need to carry a wide variety of parts and consumables, and keeping them stored neatly and easily accessible is a common problem, We fitted the passenger side with transparent compartment drawers, this makes storing valuable parts easy and helps to reduce overstocking as you can see at a glance how much stock you have onboard.

Bulkhead racking products

The bulkhead can be an underused space, but not for this racking project. We installed a racking unit in the bulkhead area which provides extra storage and incorporates three large euro crates, ideal for storing tools or larger parts.
