Vauxhall Movano van racking

Vauxhall Movano vans are a great van choice for many operators, we were approached by this agricultural customer who had chosen a Movano and wanted us to design and install the racking system.

Products we used for the racking installation

Many installs start with a replacement floor and this build was no exception. 12mm marine grade ply floor with its stainless steel protection edging at entry points, is the stable base for the racking system.

Drivers side racking

Blocking of the side doors is a popular choice and if you are working in agricultural locations where space around the van is a bit more readily available, then it makes perfect sense. Removing side door access gives much more space for racking.

For the driver’s side, we reverse accessed a stack of eight steel service cases with a steel drip tray for fuel and oil storage. The balance of space here is racking shelving accessible from the inside of the van so you have the best of both worlds. Covered floor level storage and a workbench feature next, with a great amount of euro crate storage for larger parts and fittings. Across the top and full length of the driver’s side are transparent tilting bins, meaning you can easily see what stock you have without having to open them.

A heavy duty drop down vice platform with a supporting leg is situated at the end of the racking, these popular products are the perfect piece of kit to take care of those heavy engineering type jobs often encountered on site.

Passengers side racking

The theme of side door blocking continues on this side with two large deep drawers, followed by a double side by side drawer stack providing ten more drawer units. Internally the passenger side racking benefits from covered floor level storage and a mix of more euro crate storage and a run of twelve lin bins. Both of these storage options allow for the individual storage unit to be easily lifted off the racking shelf and taken to the job.
