About the project
Vauxhall Vivaro plumbing and heating racking
The customer explained to us that storing long pipework is a challenge and tasked us to come up with a solution! The Van Racking Solutions design team loves a challenge, the solution to this customer’s problem was simple. low cost and solved the customer’s problem.
Products we used for the racking installation
We fitted a 12mm marine grade ply floor with its birchwood material it is a strong and stable base for the racking, the resin finish means it is anti slip and easy to keep clean. Good quality floors are a great investment in your vehicle and enhance the overall appearance.
Drivers side racking products
Covered wheel arch storage makes this space much more useable and the handy lift up cover means access is simple. We then added flexible open shelving so the customer can easily store a wide variety of tools and equipment in this space. Supplied with removable mats and aluminium dividers, it is the ultimate solution for flexible storage. The end of the racking unit has a silicone holder accessory to keep up to nine tubes and their nozzles stored neatly. The van has a driver’s side sliding door so we added some more accessories at that end consisting of a long items holder and a paper towel holder.
Passengers side racking products
To solve the customer’s pipework storage problem, we used a length of soil pipe and ran it the full length of the passenger side, it’s a clever but very simple solution. The soil pipe runs in front of the wheel arch, we mirrored the covered storage on the driver’s side so everything looks neat plus is highly functional. Service case tray shelves, plus open shelving and a high level run of transparent tilting bin’s completed the build for this side.
Bulkhead load securing solutions
We added some rail and straps to the bulkhead, bulky equipment can now easily be secured safely.
