About the project
Volkswagen Crafter service van racking
Volkswagen Crafter service van racking for a business that maintains disability aids. Service engineers need to be able to store lots of parts and consumables to maintain and repair disability equipment, their customers rely on to help them in their daily lives.
Products we used for the racking installation
The VRS workshop team started with a 12mm marine grade resin coated floor, this provides a suitable base to secure the racking safely.
Drivers side racking products
Flexible open shelving with dividers and anti slip mats provides storage for tools and equipment for fast and easy access. Four separate sections with lift off the shelf lin bins are ideal for parts, making it easy to take the container with you to the job. At the bulkhead end of the van. Longer difficult to store items is taken care off with an extendible top tray, top trays have a hinged flat at the end so loading longer items is simple.
Passengers side racking products
Due to the large number of parts carried on this service van, more storage was the obvious choice for the near side racking. Large lin bins with carry handles compliments the medium sized bins on the driver side. For small stock items there is a row of transparent tilt bins, this makes it easy to view stock on board without having to open the unit. Additional open shelving completes the passengers side.
