What did the customer want to achieve?

A simple but practical racking solution for a small van. This growing business finds smaller vehicles work well for them but they still need to have easy,safe and quick access to their essential tools of the trade.

Ford Transit Courier van racking products used

The VRS team fitted a polypropylene lining kit which is lighter than ply and easy to keep clean, its also so much nicer that traditional ply and makes the van much more visually appealing. A 12mm marine grade ply floor was installed, this provides a strong and stable base to support the racking and any other equipment being carried onboard.  A resin coated replacement floor has other advantages – it’s anti slip and easy to keep clean plus enhances the overall appearance of the van.

Drivers side racking

Open storage at floor level with a restraining strap means anything stored in this area can be secured quickly and easily. Above the open storage section are two 924mm wide x 136mm high steel drawers, supplied with removable mats and dividers. Two levels of 410mm deep open shelving units with removable mats and dividers complete the drivers side racking units.

End of racking unit

End of racking panels are the ideal home for add on accessories, it makes good use of often wasted storage. This customer opted for a 410mm deep side pocket which provides storage for items that the van user needs to get to quickly.
