Investing in a good quality racking system pays dividends, we originally installed this racking design for a catering maintenance customer around four years ago. The original van a Ford Transit Custom has now reached the end of its life and the business has replaced the vehicle with a new Ford Custom. The fitted Syncro racking system is still in excellent condition so the customer asked us if it was possible to transfer it to their new van.

Is it possible to remove the racking and refit it into a new van?

The answer in most cases is yes

What does the van racking swap over service involve?

Firstly get in touch with us and let us know the details of the donor van, as long as we installed the original we will have full details of the racking fitted. Let us know the details of the receiving van, we will then be able to advise on suitability for the swap. If you are replacing a like for like van it is normally a simple process.

I am replacing it with a different sized van is a swap over still possible?

In most cases yes, Syncro racking is modular therefore it is possible to remove or add parts to fit into a different model of van. If you are considering a swap over then this is an excellent time to think about any changes to your current system, we can advise on suitability and any additional costs involved.

Will I need to replace the original 12mm resin floor?

This will depend on the specific van details and of course the condition of the original floor. We generally advise that it is beneficial to replace the floor, especially if it is showing signs of wear and it really does lift the vehicle’s appearance internally.

Can you swap over other manufacturers racking systems?

When we transfer your Syncro racking system we replace the brackets and fixings, this ensures the racking is secured according to manufacturer recommendations. As we do not have access to other manufacture’s fitting systems we can only transfer Syncro racking systems that were originally supplied and fitted by Van Racking Solutions.

How long does the swap over take?

This will depend on several factors, we will provide an estimate of time when we review the work involved in transferring your specific racking system.
