What the Client Needed
When it comes to MAN TGE Van Racking, the priority is creating a workspace that genuinely supports the customer’s day-to-day workload. This build focused on organisation, accessibility and reliable onboard power, helping the engineer work efficiently on every job.
The customer required a practical and well-organised layout to support busy service calls. Their MAN TGE needed to operate as a dependable mobile workshop, not just a means of transport.
The key requirements were to:

Store tools, fittings and consumables in a structured way

Maintain a clean, professional finish
Above all, the van needed to make everyday tasks faster and more efficient.
What We Did
We took the time to understand how the customer uses their vehicle each day. By focusing on workflow and access points, we created a layout that keeps everything organised without slowing them down.
Each storage area was positioned with real working conditions in mind. As a result, the engineer can move seamlessly between tools, parts and working areas.
Offside Racking
The offside is fitted with a bank of wide drawers, providing extensive and secure storage for fittings, tools, and consumables. The fit out also includes an open lower shelf allowing for easy access to bulkier items or frequently used kit. The offside workbench is fitted with a hose chop saw ready to make any job that little bit easier.
Nearside Racking
The nearside includes additional drawer units and shelving, maintaining symmetry and ensuring every essential item can be stored safely and efficiently. A specialist mounted Swager has been installed at the front of the nearside unit — designed specifically for the client’s hose handling operations.
Electrical & Lighting
To enhance functionality and safety, we integrated a practical electrical and lighting package into this MAN TGE Van Racking build. This included an inverter, multiple charging points, interior LED lighting, and external beacons — all professionally fitted in-house. The setup ensures the van remains fully functional and visible in demanding field conditions, day or night. A specialist mounted Swager has been installed at the front of the nearside unit — designed specifically for the client’s hose handling operations.
The End Result
This MAN TGE Van Racking installation demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform a vehicle into a productive mobile workspace. The finished layout is practical, professional and built to support the customer’s daily workload with improved organisation and efficiency.
