What the Client Needed

This Renault Master racking conversion for Abacus Logistics transforms the van into a practical and highly organised mobile workspace. The vehicle supports engineers working on the road, so the layout focuses on clear storage, fast access to equipment and safe working conditions.

By combining modular racking, labelled parts storage and integrated lighting, the finished van now helps technicians carry tools, fittings and components in a structured and professional environment.

The client required a Renault Master racking conversion that would support technicians during regular service work and roadside operations. The van needed to store tools and parts securely while maintaining quick access to frequently used equipment.

The main requirements included:

  • Organised storage for tools, fittings and service components

  • Clearly arranged parts bins for small items and connectors

  • Drawer units for secure storage of tools and equipment

  • Bright lighting and external warning lights for safer roadside work

  • A layout that keeps the load area tidy and easy to move around

Together, these requirements would allow engineers to work efficiently while keeping equipment organised and accessible.

What We Did

First, we designed a layout that separates tool storage from small parts organisation. Then we installed modular shelving, secure drawers and removable parts bins to create a practical working environment.

Next, we integrated lighting and safety equipment to support roadside tasks. As a result, this Renault Master racking conversion now provides a reliable mobile workspace for the Abacus Logistics team.

Offside Racking

On the offside, we installed a shelving and drawer system that provides structured storage for tools and larger equipment.

Open shelves allow technicians to store frequently used items, while the integrated drawer units keep smaller tools organised and protected during transport. This arrangement helps engineers locate equipment quickly and maintain a tidy workspace.

Nearside Racking

On the nearside, the layout focuses on organised parts storage. Rows of removable blue bins allow technicians to sort connectors, fittings and service components into clearly defined sections.

Because the bins sit close to the sliding door, engineers can access smaller items quickly during repairs or service tasks. This setup improves workflow and reduces time spent searching for parts.

Electrical and Lighting

To support roadside work, we installed a practical electrical and lighting package as part of this Renault Master racking conversion:

  • Internal work lighting that illuminates the load area

  • Rear lighting that improves visibility when working behind the van

  • Front and rear amber warning lights that increase safety during roadside operations

Together, these features allow engineers to work safely in low-light conditions and maintain clear visibility around the vehicle.

The End Result

This Renault Master racking conversion provides Abacus Logistics with a clean, organised and highly practical mobile workspace.

With structured shelving, secure drawers, removable parts bins and integrated lighting, the van now supports technicians with fast access to tools and improved organisation throughout the working day.

The finished layout ensures equipment stays secure, visible and ready for use on every job.
