What the Client Needed
For this project, we delivered a Custom MAN Van Racking solution for Ash Truck & Trailer. The vehicle supports mobile compressor servicing, so the layout needed to carry heavy equipment while keeping tools organised and easy to access.
By combining structured storage with a dedicated compressor-generator installation, the van now operates as a practical mobile workshop that supports engineers during demanding service work.
Ash Truck & Trailer required Custom MAN Van Racking that would support mobile compressor servicing and equipment diagnostics. The vehicle needed organised storage, safe equipment mounting and clear access throughout the workspace.
The key requirements included:

What We Did
First, we designed a layout that balances heavy equipment with practical storage. Then we integrated structured drawer systems, shelving and a reinforced workbench to support daily servicing tasks.
This Custom MAN Van Racking installation keeps tools organised, maintains clear access throughout the van and provides a stable platform for compressor servicing work.
Offside Racking
The offside racking system combines stacked drawer units with small parts bins and divided storage cubbies. This arrangement keeps connectors, fittings and small service components organised in clearly defined sections.
We also installed a 24mm marine-grade resin-coated plywood workbench, which provides a strong and chemical-resistant surface for hose preparation, light assembly and repair tasks.
Nearside Racking
On the nearside, we installed deep drawer modules that provide organised storage for larger tools, service parts and consumables.
Above the drawers, open shelving allows technicians to store bulkier equipment or frequently used items. Because the layout sits close to the sliding door, engineers can quickly reach essential tools during servicing work.
Bulkhead Area
At the bulkhead, we securely installed the MIGI 602 compressor-generator. This unit powers pneumatic tools and supports air services directly from the vehicle.
Its position keeps the weight balanced while allowing technicians to access controls easily. The layout also maintains airflow and service clearance around the equipment.
